Are you still looking. I have found over the years that they tend to head to the bathrooms. There is no water in your house that a snake can get to except in the bathrooms and I think they smell it.

Try putting one of your heating pads with a hide and a water bowl in one of the bathrooms.

I have had them turn up months later. Don't give up.

I put a hide and heating pad, plus water bowl pretty close to where the viv was, so I'm hoping he'll head for that. :shrugs:

But yes, I'm still looking.

Just a thought ... I see your in IL - Is there anyway you can cool the house..get it kinda chilly? The snake would for sure head for a heat source if it got cold enough. The bathroom is a good place (that's where mine turned up) they need water.

Good Luck and don't give up!

The bathroom is a great place to look. I've found several escapees there. Rolled tape along the walls is good too. A little Pam spray gets them off the tape no worse for the wear. What morph was the snake you lost? I live in IL and could help with replacement (if I have that particular morph) if it comes to that, which I hope, for your sake, it does not. Keep looking and hope it is not in your neighbor's apartment! lol
Good Luck,
Terri

BTDT... Sucks.. Happens to us all at some point..

I think we should make a feild trip down to Rich's property, I bet there are a few intresting looking escapie's around his property now..

He's back!! He's back!!! He's back!!!

I was sitting on my computer, and yelling at the cat for messing with something on the floor of my room. I look down, and she's messing with my snake!

Kitty is getting some ham tonight!

Congrats on finding him :D That must have been scary, he was gone for at least 10 days according to the dates on this forum .

When I was changing the water of one of my tanks yesterday, I closed the lid as I took the water out to the bathroom, came back and the hatch was open, Taka was staring out at it.. That scared me for a while .

Gooood Kitty!
Happy snake (although he'll never admit it, and repeat the crime the second he gets the chance).
Relieved Mommy.
