Bill's adventures across the eastern U.S....

Seemed like I hardly saw much of Bill during late March and most of April. He spent over a month coming and going on trips both for field herping, and visiting some interesting collections, including Rich Hume in NY.

He took about a zillion photos, so I thought I would just put a link to his travelogue instead of reposting them all here. So without further ado...

I was back home taking care of the herps, but sure looks like he had fun!

Excellent photos!! Looks like he had tons of fun :dancer:

Thanks for posting :) I'm only up to part 2 so far, lol... time for another cup of coffee & view the rest!

Thats a great set of photos! and a good read too!,

Makes me jealous that our native reptiles aren't half as diverse as Americans :):angry01:

Thanks Kathy (and Bill) for causing me not to get enough sleep last night. Was just getting ready to sign off the computer last night around 10:30-ish . . . did one final "New Posts" check, and had to check out Kathy's latest thread.

TWO HOURS LATER!! I was able to power down and hit the sack.

As usual, gorgeous pictures and wonderful re-telling of the adventure!

PS. You may not have been able to go with him, but at least you had him out of your hair for a few days/weeks!! :D

Kathy, please tell Bill that I enjoyed his pictures so darned much. I have never taken such interest as I did with his pics. I fell in love with the old shed with the wisteria all....It was outstanding. Again, thanks and hugs to you guys for sharing....

I always look forward to posts involving Bill's herping trips. He finds some amazing spots to herp and always has great photos to share!

Thanks for sharing! Great photos, and it looks like he had a lot of fun. I WANNA GO! :crazy02:

Thanks for posting, I really enjoyed being on a herping adventure--at least "virtually" for me! I've never done one for real, so this was fun. Surely there must be a few Elaphe guttata guttata to find in the wilds around here in upstate SC! My husband and I did come across a juvenile timber rattler last year when we were out bicycling one day--we made sure it got into the grass, at least.

Wow, what a bunch of great pics!

It was a great pleasure having Bill up to NY to speak at our Long Island herp society meeting and annual dinner. We have had him up to talk to us before, and he is always a captivating speaker, and great company. Hope that Kathy can come up on the next northerly venture.

Great, great, great....

stuff as usual Bill and Kathy thanks. I need to get out more and polish my pic taking skills.

BTW, did you see the pics of the Indigo George Van Horn has now? 90" inches. Some dip sh*t put 4 BBs in him. George has room for three and he now is the third and a keeper.

Thanks everyone! I have been reading the responses to Bill, since he doesn't really get here much (I think he sees more than enough corns right here at home!).

We haven't been to George's place in quite a while. Will have to stop by there one of these days.

Those are all really amazing. I really love seeing shots of snakes in their habitats. I volunteer at a local nature and historical center, so when I have time I will go herping there. I hope that maybe someday I can get beautiful shots like those.
