Ghost

Here's a ghost we picked up at a local show. The wife was selling the husbands collection and didn't know anything about her except that she was a Ghost.

We named her Anastasia. I'm wondering if this is the normal tinting for a Ghost...she's the first wild type Ghost I've seen that wasn't a brownish color as an adult. She's more gray than brown. We have a male Ghost Stripe but he's more pink in color, we also have a female Ghost Stripe but when you look at her you mostly are drawn to the huge yellow stripe going down her sides.

What do ya'll think?

Very lovely! I've seen ghosts like her, but I've also seen phantoms like her as well, so I think you'll have some test breedings coming up to determine if the anery involved is type A or type B...or both!

Agree with Susan! Looks more like a Phantom to me, but I have seen a few ghosts that look like that too.

The males we have are a 2009 Phantom het Blood, a 2007 Ghost Stripe and a couple other morphs that include Anery Type 'A'. We hope to test her out beginning the 2010 breeding season. We might have to use our Pink and Green Blotched Snow male first, he's a proven breeder.

My first thought was something Charcoal... But she could "just" be a superbly gray ghost... Congrats on the great pick up, she's gorgeous! =)
