The Death of Winter

jazzgeek

The Rule Of Thirds.
Screw the groundhog. This is MY determination that winter is coming to a close. This is Dizzy Gillespie, my male beardie, who has decided today to come out of his winter shutdown.

Cool, sez I. Now if this includes a guarantee of no more snow this season, I'd really be happy.

regards,
jazz

I love snow so I can't agree with you there, but Dizzy Gillespie is extremely cool (and I think he knows it). Great name as well! :)

Thanks, Dean. He is a cool critter, my first herp ever. The UV from the photo kinda gives him an eerie glow, but pretty soon, I'll be traipsing around the house with him on my shoulder. This completely baffles the dog, and he'll mope around the house wondering why HE can't climb up and ride as well.

I don't mind snow myself. It's temps that prevent me from getting snakes shipped to me that bugs me. :grin01:

winter is over?

tell the snow thats been falling that :D

good lookin beardie
our male has been up and at 'em all winter, our female on the otherhand has been hiding out

That's a neato beardie, but I'm feeling a little miffed that all we're getting here is rain. All we've gotten is maybe four inches of snow. It's just not fair. :awcrap:

The atmospheric phenomenon that takes place when two pressure systems - amelanistic and anerythristic - collide. :nyah:

LMAO

On topic, that's a great looking beardie, I've wanted one for so long, but I don't have the money or the time, nor the patience of a willing parent for that matter lol.

All the best

David

You guys are making me want a beardie.. Luckily my husband says no more! So I can't be too tempted!

As someone who has never...

seen snow. In Florida, when the groundhog does see his shadow it meant six more weeks of basketball. So what could it mean if a Beardie sees his shadow?

Dizz is a great looking fella.:)

Sure wish it were true that Winter is coming to a close. Not getting a lot of snow, thus far, but the cold temps, and too much rain (this area does not believe in having a good balance of weather/precipitation), I can do without. Plus, the cold weather is holding up the delivery of an ATB I purchased!<grrrr>

Six more weeks of crickets?

Well, the reason this thread was resurrected was because I linked it in the recent "Let's see your lizards!" thread; the O.P. is dated March of 2006. :)
