The Rule Of Thirds.
Eat and shed.
But usually not at the same time - and practically never from tail to head, in either eating or shedding.
Which why I had to grab the camera when feeding Snake Mary, my '05 Charcoal het Diffused (poss amel, anery) girl I got from Creatures of the Night. I thought she was looking a little dull when I put her in the feeding tub, but thought nothing of it. She got her three fuzzies, and I covered the tub with a towel (she prefers to dine in the dark).
This is what I saw when I lifted the towel - one rodent remaining and skin bunched along her midsection......as she shed from tail to head. Figuring that the meal initiated the whole process, I put a hide in the tub for her to rub her snout on, and left her be. She's settling into her new skin, and polished off her third fuzzy.
You don't get much more "freshly shed" than this.
Thanks for looking!
regards,
jazz
