HUGE corn babies from HLM project

I wanted to post a picture to demonstrate what I was saying in another forum about these corn babies being the biggest I have ever produced.

From my Hypo Lav Motley project, I ended up with 5 good eggs - 1 motley and 4 normals. Incidentally, my ratio ended up being 1.4 which I'm not complaining about. But I wanted to show the dramatic size, as illustrated in this pic:

The one on the top is a granite het that I produced almost 2 months ago, that has eaten 4 times now.

The one on the bottom was born about 2 WEEKS ago, and just had its FIRST meal!

The granite het is on pinkies, whereas the poss. het HypoLavMot will probably be getting a small fuzzy for its second meal.

has it shed yet? sometimes when they 1st come out the egg they have massive bellies from all the stored stuff from the egg.. it should soon go down.

Yes it's shed, and what is in its belly is its first meal. I'm not sure if this pic really shows how much bigger it is, but it's easily a couple of inches longer than the granite het, and probably double the overall body mass.

You have to like those robust babies .. So much easier to feed.. All keepers Ken? I know you have been working on that project for a few years now.. I think you need to tell Murphy to leave you alone and move on to someone else..

Regards.. Tim of T and J

Not sure if they will all be keepers, but I won't part with the male. Might sell 2 females and keep 1.2 for myself, we'll see.
