My hatchling from Joe

ArpeggioAngel

Around Here Somewhere....
This is my little keeper girl from Joe's Banded Miami clutch. It took a little extra effort to get this girl started feeding which is why Joe let me keep her. I hoped he would as I had a soft spot for her from the beginning (I love her aberrant patten).
Since she will probably be fit into my Miami projects down the line, I decided to keep her name in line with my other Miamis which has been names from childrens songs.

So as of today - she will be known as Alouette:

Alouette, gentille Alouette
Alouette je te plumerai
Alouette, gentille Alouette
Alouette je te plumerai
Je te plumerai la tête
Je te plumerai la tête
Et la tête, et la tête
Alouette, Alouette
O-o-o-o-oh
Alouette, gentille Alouette
Alouette je te plumerai

I am STOKED that you posted the words to that song! I have never really known what the words were and it always drove me crazy. Plus, I'm working on my French these days so it will give me something fun to sing to remind me to think French.

Beautiful snake, too. :)

What is really funny is I had no idea what the words meant...I just know the lyrics and melody from heart. I looked it up online and it is about plucking a skylark....plucking all the feathers out of a bird. Kind of morbid for a children's song...LMAO!! :grin01:

I just LOVE the way your camera captures Miamis. They seem to have a special sharpness in the sun. I saw it in my own Miamis today when I was taking pictures, but it didn't quite translate. Those grays really shine! Beautiful girl and great photography.
