Humidifiers

22 is not enough snakes
I was just curious to see if you guys used humidifiers or what kinds you used. I'm moving my corn downstairs here in a couple of days when I finish his new viv and I'm planning on getting a humidifier for my boas and burmese. The one I'm looking at is the Holmes Large Room Cool Mist humidifier from Wal Mart. Anybody have any other suggestions? This one has a digital humidistat and two day run cycle, which is the main attraction for me.

Well corns don't really need high humidity and I just mist my vivs at shed time so I don't have much expereince here...

But I really like the look of those exo-terra waterfalls you can get for vivs, they are awesome and although they don't release water mist they do increase general humidity alot by what I understand. And they double as a drinking source!

Have you ever seen them?

haha yeah but I'm looking to raise the humidity to 60% or so in a 128 cubic foot viv for my burmese, a 96 cubic foot viv, a 55 gallon aquarium, and a 100+ gallon aquarium. Like I said, I'm moving my corn out of my snake room, and I just figured it would be cheaper and easier to just raise the whole room's humidity after he's out than to try to raise it in each individual vivarium.

Jeff-

You might consider a warm mist rather than a cool mist humidifier if you're main purpose for it is for the reptiles. Cool mist humidifiers put off cool air because the water they use is room temp or below. I know my cool mist can definitely decrease the temps in the room...
