A Sad Story with a Happy Ending :)

Short and Sweet
Well, as most of you may have noticed from my signature, I have two anoles.
I got these guys from a women who had kept them for her kid until the kid went to college and wasn't there to take care of them.
She said she had them for around three years. She gave me the "cage" and things that went with it.

This meant I recieved the pretzel jar she had been keeping both of them in with one small fake plant and one water bowl.

The bigger of the two was always good - never had a problem eating or shedding or anything. As you will see in the pictures he's a fatty. (I don't know for sure, but I call him a "he")

Now the other one had MANY problems. (This one is "she")
She had old sheds stuck to her everywhere including her eyes. She is skinny - you may notice in the pictures. I think that "he" would bully her and eat and she would get almost nothing. For the longest time I thought she wouldn't make it.
I seperated them and put them each in their own homes, and for the longest time I had to hand feed this little girl. She wouldn't go after food on her own. She was never really afraid of me, just cocked her head at me and looked. Then she would eat.
Then yesterday, she surprised me.

I was sitting there watching her, and she walked right into her food dish and ate TWO mealworms all on her own! I was so happy I can't even express it!
I've been afraid to name them, because I'll admit it - I"m attached to the little buggers. So tonight in honor of her first meal I gave them each names...

Introducing Neal and Clara! He's the brown and she's the green this time in the pictures.

Thanks! I know its so weird - I had pretty much given up hope. She's such a funny little thing... I swear I can see her thinking sometimes about me. I never knew an anole could have such personality!
