My boa loves me with a kiss or bite??

tricksterpup

I has nuttin to Say.
Well, I have posted pictures of bites here but I think this is the best yet.
This is from a 4 foot boa that tagged me as I reached in and changed water tonight. Mind you, she is turning blue so I must've freaked her out.

Here are the photos of the girl holding on to me.

Here is a submissive picture of her

How do you have the presence (sp?) of mind to take pictures?!

She is lovely by the way;)

Can I ask how you got her to release and how long it took?
Did she finally just figure our you were not on the menu,
no "Trickster a La King"?

LOL she was giving you a kiss thanking you for changing her water of corse.

haha

"You know your a herper when......"

:roflmao: Nice photos!

My little Paco is quite a bit smaller than your boa (a little over 2ft), but he packs QUITE a punch... I'm sure the extra 2ft of snake just "add" to the experience. ;)

If you ever get a good bite, you'll understand. It's kinda a "if I have to go through this pain, I better be able to show it off" kind of thing.

Lets She held on for about 3-4 minutes enough to for me to holler for my girl to take a picture. Both hands were full, I didn't want her to coil around my arm and I held her with the other. She eventually let go since I really didn't struggle.

Wow! Yo ucan decipher the rows of teeth in the all cleaned up picture.
Does it still hurt now?
Will it bruise as well?

that reminds me, I have a few photos we do need to print up for that. :) thanks.

When a snake holds on she is trying to catch you as a meal. Nothing to do with being freaked out. It was a feeding responce. Boa's are great feeders ;) I know all the Boa's I have had had a feeding responce like that. Grab first and then see if it's something she could eat.

I do not think this is a Meal strike, I personally felt that this snake struck at me out of fear and not for food reflex. I think she was asleep in her cage when I woke her up opening up the caging.

OUCH!!!! You need to get some sort of a medal for that one! I've been tagged by a slightly larger boa (6 feet) and while I can "blow off" the corn and king bites, I couldn't with the boa as those suckers HURT!

Glad to hear you are faring better than this guy did from his hoggie.

It is interesting there are no bruises...good to hear:)

Next time I need a blood draw at the doctors I am going to jam my arm into a boa's mouth...the lab people can never hit the vein the first round and I always end up with a gigantic bruise:bang:

Do you have a Uro?

WoW What a bite!!! It certainly looked like a love bite for changing her water, I agree.

Great pics, lovely snake! But I wouldn't have been so brave!

Thanks for reminding me why I don't want bigger mouths on my snakes!
