Wow, he's awesome Jim. I personally love white/leucistic snakes, and he's one of the best I've seen. He looks HUGE too! How long and heavy is he? I know some people don't like leucy's because they look like giant tapeworms, LOL, but I love that look. :)

Nice one!

He is a long guy, possibly around 4.5 - 5 feet and I haven't weighted him yet but he is a medium rat - to rabbit pup eater.

Everything he says!!! But I don't think they look like tapeworms at all... some other snakes remind me of worms, but they certainly don't!

I can see why you couldn't go home without him :)

Wow! Very cool snake. And handleable by the looks of it, don't know why I can't get the rumor out of my head that these guys are just nasty.

Holy mother of all snakes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He's amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hey, didn't I just read you were on a budget??

Those arent rumors! Most do calm down as adults but as babies..... the best way to get them out of the incubation container is to lower your arm in and come out with 15 babies hanging on to it! I caught them all the time growing up and they can be really nasty....

Awesome looking snake Jim...

Everyone I've come in contact with has an evil temper..
I'm sure there are exceptions, but I'm not into getting bit regularly
by a 5ft snake..

Enjoy him Jim.. LOL

He's spectacular, Jim! And not the least bit bug-eyed! I've wanted one for a long time, and I usually end up getting what I want, but the whole aggression thing has kind of made me balk too. I guess I need to take off the pink tutu and get down to business. :grin01:

Numerous boas on your bed, pink tutus... something you need to tell us Dean? :grin01:

Gene and Dean,
I gotta tell you both this guy is a nice gentle snake. No muss or any fuss at all from him. As you can tell no gloves and totally bare handed on this guy. He was pretty relaxed with me so I was happy when we got him. But yes, I have heard the rumors and as far as I am concerned those are just rumors. This guy is nice.

As white snakes go this is my biter.

Those are of Set my Cal King.

He's BEAUTIFUL! But of course, I'm partial to Leucy Texas Rats. ;)

And as for everyone's temperment remarks... I wanted one for ages but kept letting people talk me out of it with their aggression horror stories. I'm so glad I finally got one though. My Worm is probably my favorite snake (don't tell the others)... he's the most docile snake I've EVER handled... and super curious and personable. Every time I walk up to his tank, he climbs right up to the front, and the second I open it he climbs into my hands. He's a dream.

that snake i samazing! he looks so clean! How big will he grow?? He looks awsome now at that size but i could emagine hewould get even more stunning once he grows even bigger.

I think I'll continue to admire them from afar then, lol. I still jump when the baby corns strike!
But certainly a very good looking snake.

I -adore- these guys!
and they -can- be extremely docile, it's a matter of handling them lots as babies.
I am absolutely inlove with my little fella:

He is quite the poser.

Great pick, warmly recommended to anyone who wants a colubrid.

Please take this as a compliment...he actually looks fake he is so perfect...truly a strong beauty.

Congrats!

Keep the pics coming...
