It's Jager time!
I'm still shaking from excitment after recieving my dream snake... I have waited 2 years to find the perfect specimen, to feel I was capable of keeping one and of course to be able to totally splash out when I did find the perfect baby.

She was delivered personally allllll the way from Essex by Steve Fuller's (breeder) friend. All toasty and warm in her wee box, sitting on her stick.

I absolutly melted when I saw her. When I opened her box, she slithered right out and into my hand. What a total sweetheart! No aggressivness, just extremely curious and gentle.

I will stop babling now... this is Siren, the CB 08 Sorong chondro. Can I go scream and run around stupid now?!

YOU MAKE ME ENVIOUS! LOL!

WHOA! Elle, that is an amazing snake you've got there! I've never seen anything like it. "Siren" is the perfect name for it. Goodness, you've got some pretty snakes and now you've added yet another!!!

Congrats on getting such a beautiful new addition!

Goodness... I've never seen the like! How big is she?

... and YES, you CAN scream and run around stupid now. I surely would!

Their latin name is Morelia viridis, google it and you shall be amazed! They are the most beautiful creatures in the world!

Siren is a wee worm at the moment, about 13in long and as thick as my pinky. Feeding on fuzzies. Chondros size is very deceptive as they are curled up on their branches 90% of the time. I'll get a weight on her in a few days.

Ohhhh my gosh! Shes sitting on her stick. And she has a blue tail. And and and she flicked her tongue! ahhhhhhhhh

Aww Elle, she is beautiful! This is a perfect snake for you to photograph because of her bright colors and her poses!

She's gorgeous!!! How did you pick her out, from pictures? How did you decide she was the perfect one? Does she love her new house? Can we see a pic of the whole thing? How long does she get to settle before you feed her? Are you going to feed her from tongs? I can't wait till she gets a real photoshoot!!!

I know! But shes not really a poser, shes too curious and just wants to stick her face in my lens LOL

What an awesome gal! Congrats!
You will really enjoy having her around.:)

Thanks Deb :) I know I am going to love watching her progression. Any recent pictures of your wee one?

Well I have been on Steves mailing list for a few years now, and this year I got an email to say two of my favorite animals of his (really high blue sorongs) had babies so I snuffled away to his website, picked out this wee baby after much consideration over symetry and head patterns and particular dots in particular places etc.

Emailed him, paid my deposit and got her!

She has chosen the highest perch just at the end of the heat source (which is reading at a perfect 81 at the moment). I will get a pic of the whole thing later tonight. I will try to feed her tomorrow, perhaps even tonight. I usually always feed new additions after the first night as it means I cannot possibly have the urge to take them out and take photots and play straight away. I will use tongs deffinatley, late at night when shes in hunting mode.

Oh, Elle. She is absolutely breathtaking! I can feel your excitement radiating through my screen! I'll also be eagerly awaiting her photoshoot and watching her progression. Congrats, Elle!!

Can you tell, really?!

Did you know, she looked at me. With her eyeballs. And I "squeeeed" out loud.
