I take top prize! Tonight my favorite little 5+ foot boa constrictor slipped out of my grip and decided to hang on by biting my arm! *warning GORY pic* I should apply alcohol orally don't you think? OUCH Carlos that was NOT NICE! This is going to bruise. LOL!
But in all seriousness...it is fine and I am not really hurt, it did mind you but I will heal LOL, Those were mere pinpricks, he let go right away. Silly boy.

WOW! Nice one there! Welcome to BITE CLUB!

Tara, that HAD to hurt. I've been bitten before, but nothing showed up quite like that. LOL. Got a pic of the culprit???

I know you know... but be sure to clean it up well! I NEVER take alcohol orally... so I can't recommend anything to ya along those lines. LOL.

OUCH!!!!

Looks familiar

Yep. Had a few of those since over the last 35 years. Heheheheh. :D
Like the one across the bridge of my nose by a Buttermilk Snake (racer) about 5 feet long. About 1979-ish. I still didn't let go.
Now I don't seem to notice the little ones, unless they seem to be hung on something, which turns out to be me.
Racers and Coachwhips and some Nerodia sp. seem to like to yank and tear, with their teeth embedded. I hate it when that happens.
Hope you heal O.K.

It definatly stings currently ....lathered in Neosporin and while I don't really drink...I thank you all for helping me out by taking one down for me. I forgive him. At the time it kinda felt like touching an electric fence around my parents horse field. I have been bitten by some of my other snakes...but this is my worst I must say.
Here is a couple of pics of the little brat...

He's beautiful... I'm sure he didn't mean it. ;) It does look like it hurts a lot. I am not looking forward to my first bite. I'll take a double as well. :)

It still amazes me just how much snake bites bleed. You would never think those little pin pricks would do that. Welcome to bite club.

I agree and have often wondered the same thing. I was bitten by a coachwhip (his bite radius was MUCH smaller and there were fewer "scratches" from his tinier teeth) and actually had blood drip to the floor from it. THAT surprised me.

Tara, he is a handsome DEVIL! LOL. Hopefully he doesn't do that much and that he proves to be "worth his price in bites". LOL.

i believe they have an anticoagulant in their saliva which prevents your blood from clotting.

that may be utter rubbish but it what i recall from somewhere.

it seems more likely that they just have such sharp teeth that the cut is clean and you bleed freely. The sharper the implement that cut you, the more readily you bleed. Has anyone else ever noticed this?

*wears long sleeves to work today* God I don't want to explain that the snake was not ...
A. trying to eat me.
B. evil.
C. Vicious.
Nor do I wish to explain that I will not get rid of it or put it down. LOL! Non-snake people are soooo weird.

BLACK KNIGHT: 'Tis but a scratch. ARTHUR: A scratch? Your arm's off! BLACK KNIGHT: No, it isn't. ARTHUR: Well, what's that, then? BLACK KNIGHT: I've had worse. ARTHUR: You liar! BLACK KNIGHT: Come on, you pansy!
