I have to ask.........do you usually feed hatchlings together, on aspen? Do you ever get problems with them ingesting the substrate or trying to eat each other?

Great question! The snakes that you see in these pics are closely watched.
We have the best luck doing it this way and never have a problem with them.
It shouldn't be done if you can't be there to watch them at all times.
As soon as the have fed they are separated and put in there own shoe box.

That sounds like a really clever way to do a first feed though. At least then you don't have to waste a pink, provided at least one of them will eat! When you get to the last offering, if nobody takes it, you've only wasted one eh?
