The Devils Advocate
Every couple of weeks a guy comes into the snake shop to buy rats....
He's very insular and unassuming.
He always has to have his rats weighed, then he leaves.
Last week he saw Joel with his camera, and asked if he would go to his house and take a few pics for him.
We went up today to do the pics......
What we found just blew us away...
He has Herptech vivs in a room, all set up exactly the same.....Very impressive to find in a rep room....
And in the vivs.......
Well look at this....
God knows how much this lot is worth...
They are all American imports....
All adults......
And looked after like they are made of gold.....

Basin Emeralds....
And they are all top quality.... No mutts in the bunch....
These are just two of them....
When I have uploaded the other pics I will post more......
If you want...
None of the pics are shopped....
The vivs are black and set the ETB perfectly.....

I should really go through all the pics and pick out the best ones...
Until I do here's the set up he has...

Most impressive...
They are all set up exactly the same....
Same décor, same substrate, same perches... Same everything......
And I loved the fact that all the thermostats and thermometers, hygrometers etc. Were all spaced exactly the same....

Wow! He obviously takes great care of them. Very cool pics.
He has 2.4. with a gravid female, and they are kept like they are in Gods pocket.... LOL
Everything has to be perfect for them to thrive... Near enough is not good enough with this species.... A very demanding snake to keep, let alone breed.
And I know that the cheapest ones he has are up with the Royal Morphs for price, and one of them is an eye watering amount.
I don't know if I could invest a small fortune in one snake.......

wow, wow, wow!

That is a serious set-up, and such beautiful snakes.

Now where's my Christmas list! :)

Not pythons.... Boas....
Basin Emerald Tree Boas......
Stunning none the less....
And unlike GTP they are not nasty, they are very docile little chaps.....
And over here they are quite rare, especially that quality....

Also, wasn't there some urban legend about Robert Plant having his very own python of some sort? ;)

Cheers

Ian

No legend.......
I tried to find a pic of him with it, but couldn't find the one I was thinking of.....Shame really as J9 could of had Rock God and snake all in one package..... LOL
I'll have another search and see if I can find it to post

Oh wow! Those are absolutely gorgeous! The set-ups are top-notch! I WISH I could find a reptile shop that keeps their reptiles so well!

Do you know where in OH they were imported from. Curious minds would like to know, not that I could afford such beauties!

You need to find Joe Polanco.
He's the guy in Ohio who supplied them.....
Apart from the cost their care requirements have to be spot on and food has to be exactly right for them to exist let alone thrive....
They are possibly one of the hardest snakes to keep in captivity......
