Hi everyone!

I just got my first corn snake two weeks ago and he's staying at a friend's house because I can't have a snake in my current living situation. I see him almost every day and my friend enjoys having a snake without having to worry about keeping it for a long time. So far he has been fed twice since I brought him home and he fed well. I don't know how old he was when I got him, but I think he was on sale at the pet store because he had been there too long. He gets crabby if he isn't handled everyday though which sucks after I've left him alone for two days after feeding.

He is a snow corn and his name is currently Damien/Damian (still not sure which spelling I want to use) but I might change it to Riddyk. Which name do you guys prefer?

I'll post a picture as soon as I get a decent one that isn't blurry :bird:

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your first snake! Aren't they the best? ;} I started out with just one and now have four!

Also, I vote for Damien. I always loved that name, cool and sexy-sounding, and a bit sinister, as well. :} Looking forward to pictures!
 
I've wanted one for so long but I've lived with my parents until this year and they don't want pets that are going to end up dumped on them. My mom is concerned about how big he is going to get but my dad thinks it's pretty cool and wants to meet him. My sister seems excited to see him too but I don't think she's a huge fan of snakes... She'll like him while he's still little at least.
 
I also vote for Damien and congrats! I'm on my first snake, too and they're so great to have! Also; welcome to the forum!
 
Welcome! Another vote for Damian, but I like this spelling better, for what it's worth.
 
I'm with everyone else... Damien sounds great... Like the guy in "The Omen". LOL.

Thanks everyone. I've definitely found this forum a great resource for any worries I've had about him so far. I've finally settled on the name Damien. He hasn't missed a meal yet and is doing really well :).

It's been really hard to get any decent pictures but I'll post a couple in a few days. I'm trying to get my friend to come take pictures because he has a better camera.
