    Your snake is DEFINITELY not 9 months old, period. It's probably 9 months, really.

    And he should get better with handling. Just don't put him back in his home right away if he bites or poops or does anything of the like; doing so will teach him that doing that gets you to leave him alone.

    You also cannot sex a corn very well without probing it (or popping with hatchlings).
