I've been noticing that Hendrix has a much brighter color on the top half of his body and it gets duller as it gets down towards the tail end. He's not quite a year old. Is this something that happens as they mature? Do they get brighter colored as they age?

Here are a couple of recent pics I took of Hendrix, the first one was taken when he was inside his paper towel tube, the next he's checking out my flowers, then he decided that he wanted to hang out underneath them in the bowl!!

The last time Hendrix shed was Dec 15th. He still hasn't shed since then, and doesn't look any duller or blue at all. He's about 5 months old and about 15 inches long. He eats 2 pinkies every 4 or 5 days. I was under the impression that he should be shedding every 4 weeks....should I worry?
