    Blood on shed??

I'll keep this as short as possible.. basically not long ago Jynx shed. I left the shed in there because i'm still not having any luck taming him. Last night i fed him and while he was eating i pulled out the shed to check it was all ok. It was all in one piece, BUT there was dried blood on...

    Still Striking....

I posted ages ago that Jynx was striking at me and i was getting too nervous to pick him up.. Anyway, since then i have found he is at his calmest when he's in shed and i find it a lot easier to pick him up during this time. But every other time he's always really aggressive. For example...

    met daddy

At college i am studying animal management, and am currently having practicle sessions on the exotics section. On tuesday, one of my friends was holding one of the anery corns, and i came over and she was telling me how impressed she was with its head patterns, and i agreed, in fact, i said he...

    Shedding and other question

I found Jynx's shed when i got home today and for the first time it wasn't in one piece, instead it was in three pieces, but pretty complete pieces. The eyecaps are on the shed but there seems to be the very very tip of his tail missing but its literally a dot missing off the end. As some may...

    6 days after....

It has been 6 days since Jynx had his last meal, and today when i got home i checked on him and there was what first looked like poo, but it looks rather weird... it doesn't have any resemblance to a mouse and doesn't smell at all! It just looks a bit like intestines.... i'm pretty sure it isn't...

    Latex gloves?

There seems to be a lot of 'my snake is being grouchy' threads at the moment, and im afraid mine is one of them.. The past week Jynx has been striking at me as soon as my hand enters his viv. I feed him outside the viv so surely he isn't associating my hand with food, and i handle him every...

    Air vents/background picture

I have a wooden vivarium which has 8 small round vents on the back. I am looking to get a background picture for the viv, and am wondering if by putting this up will block the vents and prevent proper circulation of air into the viv? I think it is common sense that it probably will block them...

    Rattling tail

Today, my snake had his second feed from me.. half of his body was under the aspen and because i had been handling the fuzzy i didn't want to pick him up incase he saw my fingers as food, anyway, he took it from me straight away. Problem is, as i have only fed him once before i was curious to...

    First feed from me...

Yesterday was my snakes first feed in his new home! I was convinced he would probably be too stressed to eat, but after a bit of wiggling the fuzzy he gulped it down! It was amazing to see how much his mouth could open, i saw him eat whilst he was still living in college, but i was sooo happy he...
