    Crappy question

Is there an approximate "standard" for amount of time after a feed that a baby corn will take a dump? Mine let one go 24 hours after he ate, but it was tiny. Plus, he pretty much stayed in his warm hide another 24 hours so I assumed he was still digesting. Last night he was out and about (48...

    Finally!

Not sure if I should post this under husbandry, feeding problems, or behavior. The whole situation is strange to me. When I set my viv up, I went with a 2-2-1 mixture of organic topsoil, cypress mulch, and Eco Earth coconut fiber for substrate (really going for a natural look). I think my snake...

    Regurgitation question

I recently acquired a hatchling and fed him a F/T pinkie 3 days afterwards. He went right after it and I thought all was well. 48 hours after the feeding, I checked in on him again and saw that the bulge was seemingly gone so again, I thought all was well. Something at that point freaked him out...

    Night light

I'm having a heck of a time finding anything on Internet search engines about this. Does anybody know if anyone is producing nighttime CFL bulbs? I've got my temps right where I want them in my viv, so I'm not really wanting to buy incandescent bulbs. I just can't seem to find any that are CFL...

    Greetings!

snakesatsunset.com. I was pretty pleased with them, other than the fact that they didn't tell me they were sending a hatchling that hadn't even eaten for the first time. Luckily, he took right to the frozen pinkie.

    Temp Questions

Forgive my nervousness here, but this is my first corn and only the second snake I've ever had so I want to make sure I'm doing this right. I have the Exo Terra terrarium (36"L x 18"W x 18" T) with the medium size Zilla UTH. It covers between a fourth and a third of one side of the tank. On the...

    Hello again

Looked him over real well a little bit ago and I'm happy to report that his neck is perfectly straight! And also, he took his first pinkie!

    Hello again

Already did this once, but didn't do a very good job. I'm new to corns, but not really new to snakes. Years ago, I had a redtail boa hatchling that I had for a year or so that I ended up giving up to someone that knew what they were doing. Looking back, I made so many mistakes with it that it's...

    Greetings!

Hey everyone. Just finished setting up my tank and I'm currently dialing in the UTH. Tomorrow morning I'm headed to the breeder to pick out my very first corn snake! What exactly should I be looking for?

    Dead leaves?

I'm wanting to set up a good natural habitat and I'm wondering if it's possible to cover the substrate with dead leaves. I know they can harbor parasites so I guess my question is whether or not there's a way to make them safe. Would putting them in the oven at 200 for awhile do the trick?
