    Goins snake info wanted

I did some searching on the internet and didn't turn up any solid information on this breed. One of my local pet stores has one and it looks gorgeous and has a fairly mild temperment. Can anyone help me with a good site that has information on them? I have seen them described as kingsnakes...

    Children's Python hatchling

I had the pleasure of attending the M.A.R.S. show in Timonium, MD this weekend. As I have experienced in the past it was again well organized and had some really great vendors. I went to the show hoping to add a nice king snake to my small but growing collection. I was looking for either a...

    Another Disappointment from PETCO

(Hope this isn't a repeat thread) I thought I had finally found a Petco that cared about their herps. The cages were cleaned often, kept moist, had a sufficient sized water dish, and at the correct temperatures. Their employee even seemed to have knowledge about not only herps but the fish...

    Milk eating lizard

As some of you know I got a mismarked Albino Nelson's inexpensively at Petco. I has been a poor eater when it comes to pinkies - ate 1. But now getting voracious with lizards. First I had to knock out the lizards for him to catch them, then insure the lizard was within an inch or so of him...

Finicky Milk - What do you suggest next

Hello all (sorry about the length) I have been reading this site and many of the forums plus the many other wonderful forums out there about similar breeds and difficult feeders. I recently purchased a nice albino Nelson's milk as a hatchling from the local Petco. Caught them at the right...

Caught the begining of his shed

Damn lucky timing  I've been practicing with my new camera and had to try. Didn't come out too badly. But I definitely needed to use the flash for more pictures.

    Escape or feed?

Which drive is more powerful in cornsnakes - escape or eat? I ask because I was (no excuse) distracted by my 2 year old when I was feeding Skittles. I left the lid to the viv off for about 10 minutes with a pinky in there. Thankfully no escape and a downed pinky. What has been your experience?

Anyone know what chain stores feed their hatchlings?

I just came home with a new hatchling 3 days ago. He/she is set up in a pre-prepared Viv and was left alone for 48 hours. I attempted to have her feed on a very small pinky in a small container. I don't think he/she touched it overnight. So I cleaned out the remains and have him/her resting...

Dying corns in the big chain store - ???

The local store I went into today to get some supplies had 4 mixed corns in their cage. 2 snows - 1 looking really dehydrated, 2 - albinos - 1 possibly dead and what appeared to be mites on them all. No manager could be found and the "kid" working their didn't want to bother their boss at...

Inexperience at local pet store paysoff

I am trying to teach my 4yr old and 2 yr old daughters an appreciation for reptiles in general, but snakes specifically. I have been working on my better half for some time and finally picked up a Snow motley for my 4 yr old. Since 1 is never enough I have been checking the local stores for a...

Introducing Skittles: my 4yr old's snow motley

I've been watching and learning from you all for 3 months now about the proper care and housing of corns (previous boa owner). Thank you all. I was having trouble taking pictures of quality sufficient to post until a friend of mine came by. Here are a few results of his handy...

    Am I overfeeding?

Yet another newbie with a question ... surprise ... I've tried searching and can't find strong threads on what I need ... sorry. Anyway, I have a beautiful ( at least in my opinion - my camera cannot handle close ups - hope to have a new one soon. ) '05 female snow motley that I was able to...
