    Is marble alright?

I know most people advise attaching an adhesive heat mat to tile and such. All of my heaters are currently attached to those. I do have some small pieces of marble laying around, and I need to go buy another heat mat today. Would it be alright to attach one to marble? Thanks.

Maybe a stupid question, but I am sure you guys can answer it :)

I have been crusing around different breeders websites for snakes, and I have come across one I am interested in. It is a ghost with a very pretty pattern, but it says the snake is 66% het hypo. What does it mean for it to be 66% het? Just curious. I'm sure it's an obvious answer I am not...

I love this time of night...

when you walk by all of your cages and see all of your snakes roaming around the cages :) It's just nice to see them out and about, drinking and such:) Just thought I'd share.. I love when I see heads peaking out of hides, as if to say "peak-a-boo!" :D

Question regarding not eating and heat

I have a 2003 snow stripe that has not eaten for two weeks. I am assuming, from everything I have read in the past few weeks, that this is no cause for alarm quite yet. I am just curious about temperature, and if this may affect eating habits, when it is too high. I just checked the...

Request for Pewter and Phantom pictures

Hi everyone. I am trying to learn about the differences between these two morphs. I am rather interested in purchasing these morphs. I would really be interested in seeing pictures of both, in the juvenile and adult stages... basically, whatever you guys have, post it for me to see :) I'd...

Request for Hypo Striped Motley pictures

I was wondering if everyone could post any pictures of this morph that they have. I found this picture, and was told that it is a hypo striped motley. Does anyone have one that looks like this? My friend is VERY interested in finding a snake that looks like this, but I have never seen any...

Old photo found in archive. What is it?

Request for Hypo Striped Motley pictures I found this photo as a much older post in this forum. I have a friend who saw the picture and is VERY interested in finding out what kind it is, as I believe she really wants one. In the thread (which ended up being very short), it's stated that it...

    Green Blotch corn snake?

Yes, before anyone says anything, I have searched the archives and such before asking about this snake type. :D I am looking at a page right now that is offering green blotch corn snakes. There are pictures, but they are hatchlings, so I know this is not indicative of what they will look like...

    Head underwater in water dish?

I know that it is not abnormal for snakes to lay in their water dish, as this can be used as a cooling mechanism and what not... but I was cleaning cages this morning, and noticed that my new hypo female was laying in her dish, with her head under the water. I was afraid at first, as none of my...

    Link for Vivarium Magazine?

I have just recently heard about this publication, and I was interested in learning about it online. I wanted to make sure that I am going to the right link. I've read that their website is http://www.thevivarium.com , but that seems to be giving me... mmm... quite different...

Difference between Silver Queen Ghost and Charcoal Ghost?

I have not yet had my corns long enough to see them grow up into adulthood. I know that with each shed, the snakes are supposed to change more and more to the true colors of their morphs. I was curious what the major differences are, in terms of appearance overall, with the silver queens and...

Thermometers and Hygrometers and Thermostats! Oh my!

I am currently doing a lot of research about thermostats and rheostats, and now I have also been reading a lot about a max/min thermometer as well. Has anyone seen this, and do you think it would be a good investment...

    Question about mouse size

I fed both of my corns about 4 days ago, and I fed them mice that were a little bigger than the pinkies that they have been eating. When I bought the snakes at a show, I bought frozen pinkies, and all of them were pretty small, with the exception of like four mice, which seem about 1.5 times...

Does anyone know a good place for live feeder crickets?

I have used BigAppleHerp twice now, and as much as I like that site, it's rather expensive, especially since my crickets are seeming to die twice as fast as I can use them... I have great living conditions for them, and they are still dying. Anyone know any other good places?

Does anyone have a good picture of a young Silver Queen ghost corn?

I am thinking of investing in a second female, and I am curious as to whether or not anyone has any good pictures that I could see. I own a charcoal ghost, and it seems that they look almost the same! hah

    Housing same sex together?

I know that it has been urged by most of you to house all snake separately, but I was just curious if same sex snakes can be housed together in larger cages with less of a problem than male and female. I have been told that housing two females together would bring about no problem, but can the...

    Yay, I held my female!

I know some of you have read posts made by me about how I have been having trouble with one of my corn snakes striking and such at me. Well, a little while ago, I put on a glove and just sucked it up, and I held my male first (which has no problem with me), and then I held the female... she...
