    Curiosity about growth

Hello, My female corn is about 3 years old, and I was just wondering where she should be at with size and weight. I tried to measure her, and she's just shy of 3 feet. Haven't weighed her yet. Just wondering if she's growing at a good pace. Thanks!

What size should she be eating?

My '08 normal is about 155g and 32". She is about 2 3/4 inches in circumference around her thickest part. About 2 cm in diameter (about 1 inch almost). Should she be eating adult mice at this point or hoppers?

    Huge Temp Problems!!!!!

Here's my current temps on my corn snake's tank: Temp on glass (right on top of UTH): 86.0F Air temp on hot side: 73.6F Air temp on cold side: 69.8F So my house is always really cool. It's always set at about 68F. This is way too cold for my corn! I have about 3/4 of an inch of reptile bark...

    Is she too small?

My corn snake Indy is two years old, and currently weighs in at 105g. She is also about 2.5 feet long. I feel that she is much too small... I feed her every 5-7 days, 3 fuzzies, as that's all I have right now. Should I have her on bigger prey?

What's the difference between proportional and on/off thermostats?

I know what each does, but what I'm wondering is which is technically better? What are the benefits of the proportional and the on/off thermostats? I'm looking into getting the Hydrofarm one, and it's an on/off one. I'm just curious as to which is "better".

    Herpstat ND or Herpstat?

I'm seriously thinking about getting a herpstat for my corn and ball python. For my corn, should I get the ND, so I can lower her temp at night? Or should I just go with the regular one? (wrong site, but should I get the same for my BP?) Thanks so much!

How frequently should I feed her?

My corn is two years old now and about 2 1/2 feet long and weighs 85g. I feed her pinkies, but she's very capable of fuzzies. Just trying to use them all up! So how often should I feed her? She'll eat about 3-4 pinks at a time.

Best way to clean a tank?

I just bought a second hand tank, and it's pretty dirty. Very dusty, and has a few stains around the edges. What's the best way to clean this, using products that won't harm future snakes? Also, is Windex okay to clean the glass?

Too cautious, but this is normal, yes?

I'm probably being over-cautious. But is this fading around the edges of her scales on her saddle-patches normal? She's 2 years old, and she wasn't like this when I got her. After a few sheds, I noticed this. Sorry for bad pictures

Question about taking my corn outside

What temperature is good for her? Also, if I were bringing her to a school to show little kids, how long can I keep her out of her tank? What should I transport her in? I heard somewhere that a dark cloth bag would work, as it would give her more security. How often should I be able to do this...

Question about keeping a ball and a corn in a divided tank...

So I'm seriously considering getting a ball python. The thing is, I'm moving out next year to a rented house with 6 other people. So, naturally, my room will be quite small, and having to keep two tanks in it (I already have a corn snake) will take up a lot of space. My corn right now is in a...

How long does it take to grow full size?

My corn is about 2 years old, and she's a little over two feet. I was wondering how long it takes for them to grown their full size? And, what age is a corn considered an adult corn?

    Not shedding?

My corn snake is about a year and a half, and she's doing absolutely great except for one thing. She hasn't shed in a really long time. She is looking healthy, she's alert and bright eyed, she's feeding well and she seems otherwise fine. I don't know what's really going on. Can anyone tell me?

    Help with shedding!

So Indy cleared up about 2 days ago, so I'm expecting for her to shed any time soon, right? But I thought that she should shed within 48 hours, which it already has been. She's just sitting coiled up in her hide, and hasn't come out at all. Should I try feeding her? Thanks for your help!

    First Shed

So Indy's getting quite ansy right now, and I can tell that she is going to shed quite soon, as her scales are really dull. But her eyes haven't turned blue yet. About how long will it take for her to shed? I can see a tiny piece of her old skin starting to come off at the tip of her nose. This...

Transporting Corn Snakes to a classroom

Lets say I was to bring my snake to a classroom so little kids could see her. What should I bring her in? I'm not sure how long I would keep her there. Maybe like 30min- 1 hour? Also, would you recommend letting the kids pet her? Thanks for all your help!

Here's my baby Normal eating her first meal with me! Boy, did she ever chow down 2 pinkies super fast. There's only one really good picture. Sorry! My camera's pretty bad. And here's a picture of her just chilling on my bed. Sorry about the huge size!

When is the next time I should feed my cornsnake?

I JUST fed her 2 pinkies, and my breeder said to wait 5 days until I feed her again. Is that five days from now, or five days after 48 hours of digestion? Thanks:D
