I been handling my baby amel everyday for a few weeks up until he started shedding. I handled him again today and he was very upset. He was jumpy and he tensed up a few times. I heard that putting an old sock or t-shirt in their cage will help with taming. Is there any validity in that?

I read a different thread in which other users were talking about allergies some corn snakes have to plastic. The feeding cage I planned on using for my corn is made from plastic, and I have no desire to use it and possibly find out that it can hurt him. What should I use as his feeding cage?
