    Corn snake freak out...:(

Hi guys, I've had Skittles for just over a year, and he was born only a few months before I got him. He's always eaten every week since we've had him. Anyway two weeks ago we got a new gopher snake Sundown. I had him in the same room (but on the opposite side) of the room as my two corn snakes...

    Adult size?

What is adult weight in grams for a corn snake? I'm just curious. Cheesecake is almost 3 if I remember right, or maybe 2...:/ but she weighs 295 grams. How far does she have to go? What is breeding size for a female corn? Thanks, Shellie :)

Is he going to hurt himself? and other questions

Hi all, Skittles, my mostly-baby butter motley corn snake is a climber. I swear he thinks he's an arboreal python of some kind. He climbs his tank all day. All night. Won't stop. He'll lift himself up in his 10 gallon tank and wedge himself in the small space between the metal lid and the top of...

    Cheesecake and Skittles photos

Cheesecake is the red ultramel motley, Skittles is the tan colored butter motley. I plan to breed them when they get large enough. What IS breeding size for a female corn snake? :o Cheesecake is female and 144 grams today, at 1.6 years old. Skittles is male and about 30-40 grams as of a few...

    Skittles escaped again....

And I can't find him. None of my snakes have ever escaped while in their tanks except for Madison (a ball python) and that was before we had screen clips for her tank. Skittles is ridiculous. He's worse than the dog who keeps digging under the fence in the backyard and running away. He escaped...

    More butter motley photos (Skits)

We named him Skits (or Skittles) because he likes to skits out like all baby corns do :P We named him Skittles or Skits for short, since he likes to skits out like baby corns do :)

    I GOT HIM! butter motley

Got him for an AMAZING price, considering he comes with a ten gallon tank, light fixture and bulb, locking lid, hide, water dish, and a month or two worth of pinky mice (with some hoppers for when he gets bigger), for 80$--plus the guy is throwing in our choice of a FREEEEEE caramel female from...

Getting a new corn snake!! :D

Next month, I'm getting a sweet deal on a butter motley male (he's real little) and a ten gallon tank with a lid. :D I plan to breed him to Cheesecake when they are both old enough. She is an ultramel motley, and the male is het stripe and caramel, while Cheesecake is het stripe and possibly het...

    Ball python video I made...

This is one of my BP's, Nergal (or for short, Mr. Nergs, Nergs, Nergies, etc.) eating a F/T adult mouse. He usually eats F/T rats but our breeder only has mice right now. :( I made these. There should be music with each one--if not, refresh the page. Audioswap isn't working too great. :( Sorry...

Is this what she should look like?

Is this what you'd expect a corn snake labeled as "ultramel motley" to look like? This is my cornsnake, Cheesecake. I'm just making sure her morph-ness is correct. :D

    Cheesecake eating! (video--is that ok?)

This is a video of Cheesecake eating. :) I'm sorry for the shakiness, I recorded with my Android phone. But you can see how bright she is--watch your eyes! ;) Also wait until the end and there is a cute surprise...a nice yawn! I finally caught one on video! :D f-h_agN4KoU

Cheesecake! - 7 months old (almost)

She's a few days shy of 7 months and recovering from the suspected scale rot extremely well thus far. (Don't want to jinx it!) She eats two pinkies a week and has been since she was about 2 months old. Cheesecake is thriving and doing good. :) Not to mention she's pretty :P :P

    Oh my god...better or worse?

Cheesecake just shed. Some parts felt like chunky, thick scabs and were red colored. :( It looks awful. She has finished her antibiotic. This is what she is left with after this shed: I don't know if this is better or worse. I have no clue. It still looks horrible. :/ I had her on newspaper...

How long does she have to suffer???

Cheesecake is on antibiotics every other day for 10 doses. She is not showing any signs of improvement, but today was only dose 2. I'm not even sure if she got the first dose down all the way; her little mouth is so tiny, sometimes while trying to get the medicine dropper in there some of the...

I think it's beginning scale rot....

I got some pictures. Some parts of her scales are blackened, gray and a bleached looking white color. Her belly is solid yellow with pink spots. Her scales are raw and it's obvious it hurts when you touch her. Here are the photos--we have moved her from her tank to a new fresh tub, with printed...

    Burn or scale rot?

Cheesecake's tail looks horrible. I don't know if I messed it up by rolling her shed off before it was ready or what, but her scales on her tail look AWFUL. Her belly is yellow and pink up to two thirds of her neck, looks almost like a burn. It was NOT that color when we got her. Some patches...

    Shed before she was ready???

Went to check on Cheesecake today, she's still blue in her eyes. Her colors have somewhat gone back to normal but not her eyes. She had an open spot in her old skin she was about to shed in a few days, like a break in the complete shed part, so I gently rolled it down her tail (it was just below...

    mouse bite--owch :(

k, so I went to stun a mouse today to feed to my ball python, and as I picked the little guy up he bit me. Hard. After I pulled him off of my pinky finger, guess what he does? Yep, goes right on and bites my other finger. ...Hard. It hurt Now, however, I'm concerned about the amount of swelling...

    Cold corn snake

We have a UTH under Cheesecake's rock on one side of her 10 gallon. On the other side is a large waterbowl. She's never under her rock--she instead pushes the substrate away from under the water bowl and curls up under it. (I have no idea how she can breathe under there, it's a heavy water...
