I have a yearling okeetee creamsicle. I'm not planning on selling her yet, but it is in the cards if I get my new job and need to move. light orange body, white stomach with translucent checkering, dark orange saddles surrounded by white borders, with yellow highlights throughout. she's about...

    rub n roll

just wondering if anyone else has observed this behaviour? when my snake is coiled around my wrist/arm if i stroke its back, it will roll that section of its body over, so that its stomach is being stroked. is this the snake really disliking me touching its back? or does it have an itchy...

    Regression

after upgrading my snake to a larger tank, and changed substrate from forest bedding to earth covered in forest bedding her attitude has changed dramatically. she (creamsicle) now burrows into the earth 90% of the day. when i dig her up for feeding or tank cleaning she seems VERY agitated...

white puffy fluffy stuff on my dirt

my snakes' setup has running water, and is fairly humid. the first problem i've run in to is a mold / fungus.. its a small white tuft spikey, feathery, almost like those white dandelions, but much finer. its right on the 'shore' of the water. any idea what exactly it is, is it bad for the...

    signs to watch out for??

just upgraded our two little corns (yes, i know the dangers of keeping them housed together) into a 120 gal viv. there's running water, and the substrate is rocks then a level of clay brick slices, then potting soil, then a layer of wood mulch (kinda like reptibark, i forget the brand name..)...

    dark scales

my creamsicle has a few dark scales around her neck / head, and two about halfway down her body on her back :shrugs: . at first i though "Oh no! mites!" but the thing is, they never move/multiply, soaking does nothing, they don't seem to bother the snake at all. and looking very closely, they...

    what would i get

we have a male okeetee, and a female 'super' creamsicle. i unfortunately have no background info on these (the guy we purchased them from didn't even know hatching dates). however, he's apparently a 'respectable' source for reptiles in this area. just wondering what we might get, i don't need a...

    my baby

this one was sold to me as a 'super creamsicle'. but whatever it is, i fell in love with the coloring as soon as i saw it. she's just finishing a shed in this pic, but normally has some brighter white and yellow markings.

    super creamsicle

purchased an 04 hatchling (i assume, the guy selling had no idea... small reptile store) anywho, it was labled as 'super creamsicle'. he doesn't have too much contact with the breeder and won't give me any contact info. just wondering if this morph exists, what the mix is, etc. looks like a...

really like the recent pics / posts of the homemade containers... definately an encouragement for the expo coming up. i understand that you can use uth to keep the temps up, but what kind of lighting do you guys use to give them their day/night cycle? i'd love to have a couple extra...

    standing tall

we have two fairly small corns (14"). when we feed them, the creamsicle sits there and walks her jaws up the pinkie until its gone. our okeetee gets a good hold on the pinkie, then stands straight up about 2"-3" and then proceeds to eat. every time. anyone else experience this?

    planted viv

my snakes (14") are currently in a 15gal tank. once they start to show some size they will be moving to their new home, a 125gal planted vivarium. my question: was thinking moss might be too humid a substrate, would potting soil / grass be alright? we've got our plants picked out for climbing...
