Today i went to Home Depot and got red bulbs to view my snakes at night. The bulbs aren't infared. Does it matter? Can the snakes not see only the infared red bulbs?I am only going to turn these lights on when i am looking at the snake in the cage, i wont be leaving the red lights on all night.

My okeetee's glass cage is about 8 feet from a window(i guess you could call if a double window). There are blinds on the window. If i open the blind and the sun shines on the cage and in my room will it cause the cage to heat up to much. I would like to leave the blinds open but it i cant its ok.

It is a 20 gallon high. Same floor space as 10 gallon but like 3-4 inches taller. The block hole things can only be pushed out from the outside of the cage so they shoule be safe.
