    First shed went well

    Young corn had his first shed. All went well and the skin was in one perfect piece. His color is back now and he looks great. :)

    Something may be wrong with new corn

    So I got this guy last Sunday. Three days ago he ate a mouse with no problems. Ever since then he has been in his hide on the cool side of his tank. As far as I know he has not come out. I don't see any regurge. Is this normal after feeding? Thanks.

    First feeding

    Got my first corn a few days ago. Well today he was out roaming his tank so I decided to try to feed him. Took him out and placed him in a box. Introduced the mouse and he ate quickly. After he was done I put him back into his tank and he went into his hide. Guess this is a good sign.

    Question on temps and my new setup

    So I put my new corn in a ten gallon tank. He is small so he still has plenty of room. I got an undertank heater that is about 8" x 8" and placed it under one side of the tank. Temps are about 78 on the substrate above the heater. That seems a bit too low to me. Temps in my house are...

    Feeding in seperate container

    New to corns and have a question about feeding in a seperate container. I understand it's the best thing to do however once the snake is done eating should I move it back into it's main tank or should I wait?

    New here. Name is Rick and live in NC. Just got my first corn snake. Not new to reptiles as I have kept turtles for years. This is my first snake. :cool:
