Hello all,

I recently obtained a beautiful Bloodred (het. hypo and het. charcoal) female. She is going to be ready to breed for next year (2012) but I have no male breeder to pair her with. So I leave the offer open to whoever will help me. You provide the male and of course we split the hatchlings. Her genes are out there, homozygous for Bloodred and heterozygous for both Hypo and Charcoal.
Let me know if you will to loan your male and with what traits. Since this is a joint project we can figure out the project together. Does not matter to me what genes the male has. I am open for a new project. Please let me know what you would like to do.

Don't all corns in NJ have to be homo amel? Just a consideration for anyone considering loaning a male out. Please correct me if I'm wrong, and good luck finding a boy to borrow!
 
I have plenty of corn snakes that are not homo amel and some I even bought in state so doesn't phase me. I never been bothered by it.

It might not phase you but people shipping snakes to you would hopefully not want to violate any wildlife laws.

That's their personal opinion. I have received and shipped snakes many many times and through state UPS and FedEx buildings and I have never once been told I was violating or breaking any laws.

only color morphs that are legal to possess and/or sell are the following:

Red Albino (Amelanistic) Butter Snow Pearl
Lavender Blizzard Creamsicle Sun Glow
Candy Cane

Remember, that it is your obligation to conduct your business operations according to the requirements of the Wildlife Permits Unit – Exotic and Nongame Wildlife Permits Regulations and Policies. Failure to do so may result in penalties, including permit revocation.

Wow...without even getting into possibility of some state official going in and confiscating someone else's animal, who would want to do business of any kind with someone who knowingly breaks the law?

But by disregarding it with a breeding loan like this, you are not only endangering the animal of someone who might not know the law, but you are making a case that reptile keepers break laws....
If you can't be trusted not to break your state laws, what exactly CAN you be trusted with?
 
As my pot-growing neighbor can tell you, you don't even have to be doing something "wrong" to come into contact with law enforcement officials who may then discover any laws you are breaking. In my neighbor's case, contact with the fire department due to a grass fire which spread to the neighbor's yard led to the discovery if the marijuana garden. And wasn't it a noise complaint or something that led to the confiscation of the leucy hognose in Colorado?

Wooh Wooh Wooh,:angry01: Just because I may have corn snakes that do not fit the allowed types in the state, does not mean I can not be trusted with my snakes. People know that laws of speeding within their state and yet they do it on a daily basis.

Also as for your neighbor, corn snakes as pets are completely different from growing an illegal substance that is prohibited throughout the entire country.

I understand both of your points and concerns but you can not and should not draw conclusions on other aspects based on a choice.
 
You are not getting it.
You are CHOOSING to break a law.
It does not matter how you feel about that law, you are CHOOSING to break it.

That alone says some very unsavory things about your character.

Also when you choose to speed, you get a ticket and pay a fine.
When you choose to break a law like this, your animals get taken away, probably euthanized, and there is a news article about a lawbreaking reptile keeper that gives all of us a bad name!!
 
I'm _saying_ that authorities can be called to your residence for any number of reasons at which time they might discover things. Although cornsnakes.com is pretty minor in the general scheme of things, people are wise to not discuss wildlife laws they might not be in compliance of on the Internet, since once it's out there, it's out there. Why do you think there aren't so many members from NJ and GA here?
