First Shed + Gender Question

Hello all!

I'm a very happy daddy right now.. my hatching just completed her first shed! She went blue on Saturday (11/23) and cleared up yesterday. I upped the humidity by making a make shift humid hide out from a small tupperware container and a moist sponge in the middle (it's now her favorite place to hide) and a baby food jar filled with water and an exposed sponge on the hot end. I was holding her tonight and was about to put her back in when she started rubbing and sure enough she started shedding while in my hands... such a neat experience.

I've heard you can get a good idea on the gender from examining the shed? I think it looks like a female but would love your input. Her colors are really starting to come out now!

Thanks!

I have never heard of telling gender based off of a shed.
At this age you can probably still have someone pop your snake, other wise I would wait until they are older and do the probing method.
You can sometimes tell by the length of the tail, but that can be a hit or miss guessing game.

Yeah, I wouldn't touch that method except for fun. Probing is your best bet. Popping is fast if you're good at it, but also easy to make mistakes with. If I'm sexing a lot I like to pop to find obvious males, then probe the "females" to see if I got it right.
