Little Miracle in the Washing Machine!

wendhend

Kind of Corny
I opened up the washing machine after my third load of laundry to find a corn snake peering out from the the wet clothing. It was my yearling ghost female, who had escaped from her feeding bin back in March. I don't know how she managed to survive being swirled around with all that water and TIDE detergent! I took her out and fed her a small meal. She seems to be just fine and doens't look like she dropped too much weight after not eating for months. It really made my day to find her alive and well after all of that!

One very clean corn snake!

Wow !!! Are you going to rename her Maytag so Kenmore!!

But I can't believe she made it through the spin cycle!!!

Wendy, that warmed my heart! So glad you found her, and that she is fine!!!!
Wonderful news!!! You just made my day, thank you! :)

Thanks for the nice comments! Her official ACR name is Belle, and our washing machine is a Frigidaire, so I might just have to nickname her "Belle Frigidaire." It kind of has a French ring to it. There was no bleach required to get that pale color, thank goodness! She was from a silver queen ghost bred to a super pale peachy beige colored ghost motley.

That is AMAZING that she lived through that. Every story I've heard of an animal getting stuck in a washing machine or dryer has always ended in tragedy!! I'm so happy for you. "Belle Frigidaire" sounds great! :)

and the award to craziest escapee story goes to...YOU!!!

that is AWESOME that you found your snake! a bit unfortunate that it went through the washing machine but at least she is back!!

That's totally amazing! I can't believe she survived that. Glad you found her. Just wished I could find Zeus.. he's still missing.

Congrats that you found her, amazing that she survived that, good thing she didn't end up in the dryer or out on the line.

Wow. That is amazing. I'm so glad she is okay. I'm always amazed at how resilient animals are.
