two heads of a different type

I agree with Nanci.

The photo is quite poor, and to me, more looks like the snake lost the end of its tail, making it blunt and head like.

Now if they had some HD video of it..

Pretty cute stuff. Here is the wiki link to the "rough Earth snake" that they identified it as. The reporters don't seem convinced.
Thanks for the clip.
Regardless of the truth or fiction involved, the reporting was atrocious. After watching the clip I was saddened by the sheer lack of knowledge displayed by the reporter sent to cover the story. For example, why didn't she pick it up and examine it? Look for eyes, a mouth and tongue on the non-dominant end. Does it eat from the second head? They had it for three weeks surely it ate, drank and pooped during that time? Check for a vent or vents? Oh wait, she didn't even know what a vent is or where it should be on the animal! How about maybe Googling snake physiology on your way to the shoot? This at the very least could have been an educating moment. Just sad.

Hey Chip, it must have been a guy or a cartographer that determined that animal was 20 ft long. You know 1" = 1' LOL

That news site really is a winner. "The creature is about 20 feet long! He would the reptile slithering up a tree."

Fox8, how do you grammar

Ha, I remember that black rat snake one. Simple trick photography using foreshortening.

And I also call BS on the snake having 2 heads with one on either end.

Total BS! Why were they able to get nice clear photos of the main head, but absolutely NOTHING except really blurry shots of the other end? And the reporter...complete moron!

Excuse me...on semi-decent photo of both ends...and the other end sure doesn't resemble anything like a head to me!

And I just couldn't take it. I e-mailed the reporter stating what a crock the whole story was. If I can get this kind of detail (individual little snake teeth) with my silly little Kodak Easy Share, a news station should be able to do as well.
