Missin her snakes
Well last Friday, my sister and her friends were playing in my room when i left for work, grr. They messed with the snakes in the rack and wudda ya kno, left 3 bins open JUST enough for them to squeeze out.
Fortunately, my snow and my amel were curled up together in the back of the rack, but my normal boy (their brother) was no where to be found!!!
Its been like..5 days, but it seems like forever...
First thing me and my parents did was completely clean my room, and check EVERYTHING. We didnt have masking tape, so i found some duct tape to use. *stupid idea* I put small strips in corners of the room, especially where he could hide.
Darn stuff stuck to me more than anything else!! But anyway,
4 days and no luck, Last night i stumbled across a picture i took of him, being his goofy self, on the tree sniffing around with his head sideways...I cryed for who knows how long...
< Picture in question...
So then, before i went to bed, i prayed to God, asked him to atleast give me something to let me know he wasnt dead (where as we have 4 cats and 2 dogs in this house, and then all had access to my room when it happened)
During the night...i got the WEIRDEST urge to wake up out of a sound sleep, at 4:30 am, and check not all, but ONE strip of tape, and i didnt have the lights on so i was just blah.
I peir over the blankets on my bed, and i thot "Why the heck is their a f/t mouse on the tape?" i turned the lights on and it was no mouse, it was a ball of corn!!!!! :crazy02:
I used small scissors and cut off the access tape, then held him under a heat lamp and slowly pulled off all the duct tape (that HAD to hurt) In the process, he tried swallowing, not biting, swallowing my finger, and to make me fall even more inlove with him, it HAD to be the finger i had been trying to use to get the tape off!!
I rubbed him with Vitamin E oil, and let him chill in his little tub with a big bowl of water He seems really calm and relaxed and happy to be home. I also put a pinky in with him (gotta love mice who produce when you want them to!) no interest, obviously, but i figured it would be alot more healthy for him than my finger...lol
Anyway, i was just so happy to find him, alive, and not in the litter box :eek1: And i knew of all people, my corny friends would understand that hes not "just a corn snake" but a loved pet
