New Snake Sexing Video!

It is a great idea Kathy but it does not work on Apple computers. I know we are not a lot but if you are able to save them in quicktime it would be perfect! :)

Wow. Those were great Kathy! You make it look so easy! But I suppose practice makes perfect huh? Awesome videos!

WOW!!

You make it look so easy! However, Since I am not going to be breeding, (at least not in the near future) if I ever REALLY want to know I think Iwill still chicken out and find someone who knows how and is experienced. I just dont wanna hurt my snake...

Way kewl video though! I feel like I could learn to do it if I needed to now.

Oh sure, post them now! :bang:

It would have been most helpful last week to see a video of a hatchling, fresh from the egg. I know it's easier to 'show' on older snakes, but I think a video on a hatchling (less than a month old) would be the best.

I am not sure why you would have to pay to see it - or who you would pay (not me, lol!).

We are not really computer people - this was the form that was given to us. Glad it worked for most. I can ask our "computer friend" about making it in an "Apple friendly" format.

We actually made this last spring, before any new babies hatched. It just took this long to actually get it edited and up on the site. We used the smallest '05s that were left. But it should not really be much different to pop a new baby. Just have to have better eyes (or wear glasses!!), I guess!

Great videos Kathy, very informative. At what age/size/weight do you change from popping to probing..?

Very helpful. The probing looks a bit intimidating having never done it, but I guess that's a good thing for the snake since I'll be sure to have someone experienced sitting across from me when I try that one. Nice job and thanks for sharing it with us!:)

LoL wuts an Apple?

Our computer literate friend said that he could convert the file to something that would work for Apple (.mov??), but that the compression rate is not as good as Windows and that it will be a file of 18mb instead of the present 2 or 3 mb. So it will take a while to download. But maybe we will put it up with a warning and those who want to wait for it can wait for the long download time.

I usually switch from popping to probing at around 16 - 18" or so. I don't want to use enough pressure to force a larger snake to evert.
