Our Precious New Gems...

Mrs InsaneOne

I See Snakes...
Well, at least one of them is named after a gemstone, the other two are minerals I think! lol. I just picked up these 3 little treasures from Zach yesterday and they are still a bit shy so I didn't get any real spectacular photos of them yet. But give me a shed or two and I'll have them showing off their sparkling colors. lol.

First up is little Kimberlite, she's a normal het blood, charcoal, amel, and stripe and she's been betrothed to the little blood het anery (and amel I think) that we bought from Stephen a few weeks ago. Oh the possibilities! :grin01:

Next is shy little Olivine, also a normal, who is het for anery, amel, hypo, caramel and motley. She likes to play peek-a-boo with the camera.

And finally, we have the new little man of the house - Ryolite. He's a brother of Olivine's and carries the same quint hets as she does. Right now we are thinking of pairing him up with his sister and an older woman, Topaz, who is a normal het hypo and caramel. Not to mention that we have a caramel het motley that we picked up from Stephen at the BBQ, but if we do that we'll pair his sister with the male caramel het motley that we picked up this past weekend as well. But enough of our future plans, here are the picks of this little man who is not quite as shy as his sister!

Thank you again Zach!

Thank you both!

They're all cute, but the first picture of Olivine is precious!
She reminds me of my youngest daughter playing hide and seek in that picture; she's covering her eyes and is sitting right out in the open, but thinks you can't see her because she can't see you! lol

Very nice littles ones! My little gypsy is a sister to your Kimberlite, it will be interesting to see how they grow. :)

Oh yeah! I'd forgotten about that! lol, blonde here... I'm looking forward to seeing how her colors develop, I'm hoping she'll turn out with lots of red like my normal het caramel is developing lots of yellows and yellow-oranges.

What's the belly checkers look like on Gypsy? I've not bothered Kimber enough to check her yet, I want to give her time to settle before a bit more before hadnling her much.

Thanks! I'm having a hard time controlling my patients when I think of some of the possibilities of the combinations of all the wonderful hets. I know it'll be a few years before they are ready though. I guess that gives me more time to hunt down some other neat het critters! lol..

Thank you, and I think there will be enough names so long as we start controlling our spending sprees! lol. We are nearly done for the year and then we'll have to spend more time growing them all up! But it will depend on what catches our eye.

The little Amel is doing great! Tim tried to change her name tonight from Brookite to Bloody Mary and I was tempted to hit him over the head w/ the cast iron skillet. Grr... I told him he couldn't because I'd already filled out all the record cards! lol. She ate her first meal for us tonight too. She was a bit twitchy, but she didn't even wait for me to close the lid on her deli before she launched herself at the pinkie.

She was very well behaved. Not like the male miami - who musked me tonight! See.. he's growing evil... lol, I think I startled him a bit really, but that was a first from my corns.

Grrr Tim never signs off of his screen name haha.
LOL, we nearly had the same trouble here... we each use a different browser though, so we can both stay logged in.

ANywho... Thanks again to everyone who's commented on the critters! I'll be posting more pics after their next shed too of course! *WG* I can't resist taking tons of pictures of all the little ones!
