Coyote my pacific Gopher

tricksterpup

I has nuttin to Say.
Well I thought I would share another picture of my boy Coyote here. He is roughly over 10 years old and nice gentle old man. By far one of my favorites in my collection. I will add more pictures as time goes on.

Beautiful snake.

I chased a pacific gopher through my backyard last night, but alas...I was unable to catch the little %^&^%$#@. This summer I'm gonna come home with a hatchling, one way or the other. They are so proliferate in my area, it really should be an easy task to accomplish.

Funny enough, before I kept snakes, I used to move them off the roads ALL the time. Now that I have an isolation/quarrantine area, and a cage I could use...I haven't seen one, save for last night's which was WAY faster than I am...

I think they know...

Great looking snake! I almost wish we had a gopher in the collection! Ha done on our backporch once and he was simply gorgeous! We used to come across hatchlings all the time too, I think they laid eggs on the property somewhere every year.

Yes, the snakes do know... they can smell you intentions before they even know you're there! At least it seems that way. Tim wanted a cali-king so badly and we've not seen but one out here in the 3 yrs we've lived here and they are supposed to be abundant around here. Since we now have two, I'm sure we'll see all sorts of hatchlings in the area now! lmao...

Interesting how YELLOW he is! I've caught a number of gopher snakes in AZ and CO, and they're always much more sandy-colored. Cool-looking dude. I love their eyes.

That actually makes sense, basically the Sonoran Gophers are a sandy yellow colored snake while going out further west you have the more vibrant colored gophers.

What a beautiful snake! I love his colors. Have you had him since he was a hatchling? Thanks for sharing him with us.
