has anyone had problems with smr. I was supoed to recive my new snake to day but it was not shipped. I tried to contaed them with no luck. They seem to be reputable so I thought I would just ask.

No i never got a tracking number. but don seemed like a good guy so i will try to talk to him tomorrow.

Don is a wonderful person, I'm sure there was just a misunderstanding.
But if you want some more good vibes. On the main forum here scroll down to the board of inquiry, and do the search for Don Sodernerg.

I haven't done business with Don YET (planning on it soon) but my friend has and I must say STELLAR customer service. I'm sure there was just a mis-communication or a lost email. I know he will take care of everything.

Don't worry - I am sure there is a good explanation. Have you both called and sent an email? Sometimes emails do not go through, and are returned as undeliverable. Don would NEVER intentionally let you down. It is likely a mis-communication, something somehow overlooked, or some sort of unexpected emergency. Just give him a call tomorrow, as well as an email. He will make it right, whatever it is.

No worries with Don. Just email ([email protected]) or call (830.964.3200) him to get things squared away. I know that he's been taking about a day to reply to emails sometimes. He does everything by himself, and he's feeding and cleaning over 2,000 baby snakes right now. He's been shipping out lots of boxes 3 days a week, so I'm sure that there is a miscommunication. AOL sucks, and I've gotten emails from done up to 5 days AFTER he sent the email. I don't know what server you are on, but a problem with email could be on either end. He's a little hard to reach on the phone (due to the number of hatchlings), but I have reached him each time i tried over the past couple of weeks. He does take some days off for his personal life, though.

As soon as you get it straightened out (and you will), why don't you post that all is well for other readers?

I was waiting for a snake to be shipped, from a VERY VERY reputable breeder. While I was waiting for tracking information, not knowing what day she would be shipped, I came home and there was the snake, the most expensive snake I had ever bought, (I almost had a heart attack when I bought her!) sitting in the driveway, 20 feet from a super busy street, and she'd been there all day. Why would the breeder ship her without telling me? Why had Fed Ex just dropped her off?? I discovered the answer several weeks later; my e-mail spam filter had grabbed the shipping confirmation and put it in the junk folder...And the snake was just fine.

Don is a grate guy and everything is good now. He just real busy and personal stuff to handel. HE took care of things above and beyond what he had to.

Great to hear! Thanks for the update. :spinner:

I've been very interested in getting a snake from him recently and it has been difficult to contact him. However! I met him at a reptile show not too long ago and he's one of the nicest, most intelligent snake people I've ever met. I felt like I was in a corn snake classroom there for a bit while I was talking to him. He seems to be a great guy. I'm sure he's just got a lot going on, he'll come through... rest assured. ;)

That was likely NARBC in Arlington, right? If so, you probably met my wife and I, too! Have you checked your SPAM folder for his emails?

I bought a candy cane from Don many years back. The transaction was one of the most pleasant purchases I've ever made. He was a great guy to work with and very knowledgeable.

You are most correct. And I did check my spam folder. There was so much junk. Oh my, I don't manage that folder very well. :) I looked it over, but my e-mail was sent in late May, so I probably need to resend it.

That was also my first reptile show, by the way.
