Canadian Boa Fanatic.
well, A few days ago, I had a incident where I was cleaning individual bins, and I put all the baby boas into a big bin so I could clean theirs... Someone came to the door, and not thinking I went to answer it, A twenty-thirty minute conversation later i come back to NO boas, I tear the room apart, and find ALL but one... I looked for three hours, found nothing,

Recently we re wired the whole house, and this room was still not complete, it had holes by sockets and in the roof and such, that still needed to be patched, So i had very little hope for the last remaining boa to ever be seen today.

well, I come home tonight to feed the boas, And i look up to see this..

He had to climb these wires from the ground (cable/phone/ethernet ect cord) to the roof!

Lesson Learned.. Do not keep snakes in rooms that your renovating!!!
Glad all the babies are safe and sound now tho, and no worse for ware! just a little thirsty.

haha. very arboreal baby boa right there. he was probably watching you the whole time, thinking, haha human cant see me up here. glad you found him. im glad my animals are in the basement where i have no phone, tv, i can use my laptop though, and i cant hear the doorbell. so distractions are very few. except if i have animals free roaming i get distracted then from my cleanings.

When I was working at petco I found a ball python that had escaped on top of one of the two way swinging doors leading into the stock room. There was nothing near it for it to climb up...it had to have wedged itself in the small gap between the door and the door frame to get up there. Crazy!

See, I would have expected this with one of the carpet python babies, But a boa!? come on... jack of all trades i guess!

That is a lot better than what I feared you were posting!

I have had a few customers over the years who left their snakes in the same room when they were cleaning carpets, painting, or using some other solvent or chemical. Sometimes it caused neurological problems, and sometimes it was fatal. Glad your experience was SO much better!

I think he was happier to get a big drink, and a meal when he got down.. I bet he worked up quite the appetite!

I once found an escaped BP in the AC unit... around 3 months after I discovered that he escaped.

God knows what he did inside the AC... all I do know is that I almost died from a heartattack when I did find him.

You see, I went to turn on the AC and suddenly I saw a friggin' head staring at me. No, you don't quite get used to it. I had to wrestle with him to get him out of the wiring...

Don't give them the chance, they'll take it and laugh the whole time :dgrin:

I had to wrestle the stupid little snake for like 20 mins to un tangle himself! :dunce:
