Hi, my name is Audrey. Still figuring out the website. I got my first corn in March. We now have 7 snakes and we are getting two more soon. So far everything is going great. We have a gopher that has a bit of an attitude but he is calming the more we handle him :) I am having so much fun with them and it is very addicting. I wish I could have them all. There are so many different morphs and I would love to have one of every color....We currently have 1.1 gopher snakes, 3.1 corns, and a florida kingsnake that I do not know the sex of. We are adding two this week. An 0.1 lavender corn and a 0.1 western hognose. Can't wait!!

Welcome! I'm pretty new here too.

I'm sure you'll love your little hognose! Ours is almost a year and a half now and just adorable. They can be tough to get to eat though, although we figure that ours must have been wild caught and the breeder lied, there is no way our snake would have eaten anything that wasn't scented with a frog (their natural prey) and the breeder said that she had only needed a scented one for her first 5 feedings... needless to say we worried for over 4 months trying everything we, or anyone we talked to, could
think of (including three vets) before we found a video on the web about "baiting and switching" which pretty much saved her life.

They are definitely one of my favorite snakes, I love the way they move, kind of like an inch worm. Oh and when they nudge you with their little shovel nose.

Good luck with all you're little buddies!

Hello and welcome to the forum. I guess you found out the hard way, about how addicting snake keeping is. I too, started out with one and now have over fifty.

Than you for joining and good luck!

Wayne

Thanks! We are getting her Saturday and she is already a year and a half and the owner says she eats well, so i am hoping we do not have any problems.

Welcome aboard! Thanks for pointing out that you'll have pictures in your album... Gonna go check it out now!

Hope you have fun on here with the rest of us!

I will put a picture of her (the one that was sent to me) in my album. I will take a better one when I get her!

Welcome to the forum!
