Hi, Rhiannon! What a great name... my cousin shares your name!

Welcome aboard and hope you have a great time with us.

What kind of corn did you get? We all love pics! ;)

Welcome to the forum! Isn't Loveland one of those places a bunch people fwd their valentines mail through to get that extra mushy effect? I thought I read that somewhere.

Hi Rhiannon, welcome.
I got my first snake the same way you are.
They're very addicting, now I have.....oh, nevermind, still just the one.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. Snake is in her habitat relaxing after a nice meal. ^_^ Shes pretty too...I will make sure I get some pics up soon.

dear other snake lovers,
I have loved snakes all my life.I have loved snakes ever since I was 4 when I saw one in my back yard.when my dad said that I can get a corn snake I ran to the computer right away and serched for your web site so do you have any tips or a section for normal, amelanistic,or sunglow motley corn snakes.

your fellow snake lover,

mermerty a.k.a Kristina Ridder

Well, that is awesome. I would say check yr local pet stores. But if you want one that is from an actual breeder online it will be more expensive, but you will more then likely get a really healthy animal. Normals, are absolutely gorgeous and so is the Amels, and Anerys. You can check out websites online like Kathy Love's site. If you search onlline put in corn snakes there should be some sites that will come up with that search. I'm not really aware of any other sites. But try SouthernReptiles.com something like that. Good luck with yr new corn snake when you get one. Don't forget to post pics.

AHH MY SNAKE IS STARTING TO SHED! DOES ANY ONE HAVE ANY POUNTERS FOR ME IF YOU DO PLEASE HELLP

Don't worry and Dont' panic Mermerty. Your snake should shed without any problem, check your humidity and make sure she can fit in her waterbowl. Then just sit back and let nature take its course. After she is done shedding check the shed make sure it is complete, the eye caps are on the face of the shed. Sometimes the very tip of the tail keeps it shed if it doesn't come off in a day or two after the rest of the shed, place your snake in a luke warm (body temp) bowl of water Not too deep so that she can easily lift her head out of it for about 5 min. put her on a paper towl or in a container with some scrunched up paper towl for her to slither thru. and check her tail afterwards ( usually it will slide off) Hope this helps, and check out Kathy Love's book on cornsnakes she's very knowledgeable and may answer this request as well.

Have a great day
