What kind of milk is that? Very pretty. I have a few snakes that will eat on my hand. It makes for a VERY good feeding demo for my students. They love it!

Thanks...

It is a Nelson's Milk. Very Corn-like in its personality. Always gentle.

(By the way - Thunderer - LOVE the G.L. Avatar!)

Lovely... het albino? We need to pick up an older het albino Nelson's for our guy... he's a stunner and deserves a lady friend.

Thanks! I took what I found online and a friend helped make it better!

Back to the topic... "Corn-like in personality". Really? I thought they were fussy eaters and very skittish. I've always admired them and been tempted by them, but because of the fussy eating issue, I've always tempered my temptation and looked the other way. LOL.

Believe it or not, I have not been musked even once. As long as I let her know I am there, she is not very skittish when I pick her up. A bit "head shy", but no more than any of my past snakes.

I had heard they were a bit difficult as well. Perhaps. But either I got a snake with a great personality, the rumors were exaggerated, or I have just done a good job with my handling. And my job as a snake owner is probably down on the list LOL!

To me, the Milks are second to none in regard to visual beauty. As a "show snake", I can't think of another snake I would rather have than a Nelson or Sinaloan. Plus, they tend to get larger than Pueblans, and don't dull as much as Hondurans.

I am really wanting to get another Corn - a nice looking Okeetee. But I haven't found anything locally and I won't pay for shipping. I am patient, though.

My Nelson's isn't a feeding problem, either. He did start off only taking live, because he was too skittish for me to be anywhere near him while eating. He is now readily and aggressively taking f/t, with no prompting, while we are in the room. He's a good little guy... a little thrashy when first picked up, but most milks are.
