Hey, I'm Carly.

I'm getting my first corn snake in mid-September. I'm very excited about getting her, especially after all the reading up on corn snakes I've done. I would like to become a breeder someday, but I have yet to do a lot of reading up on that.

I'm going to be a senior in highschool this year. When I graduate, I plan on going to technical college locally so I can stay at home and keep my corn snake.

I love art; my avi is a part of a painting I did last year. I'm in 4-H because I love art so much. I plan on writing and illustrating a children's book about a corn snake for a 4-H project next year. If it does well at the county fair, I'll probably try to get it published.

Welcome to the forum! We like new people here! The 4-H is a wonderful teaching organization. My wife learned most of what she knows about animal care, by participating. She used to show her lab at all the local fairs when she was a child.

Good Luck on the book and welcome again!

Yo Carly, welcome.
Now I'm curious to see how your project turns out next year, stick around and keep us posted.
What kind of corn are you getting? Or should I wait? I can wait if it's a surprise, I'm very patient.

Thanks guys!

I'll keep you guys posted on the project. I'll probably do most of it over winter break.

As for the type of corn snake I'm getting, it's going to be a surprise. ;)

Welcome to CS.com. It's so cool to see a young person with such goals. You know we will all be looking for your book if and when it gets published. Who knows you may even be able to find someone here to help with that. Good Luck.

Welcome to the forum! There is lots to be learned on here from some very knowledgeable owners and breeders. Good luck with your book! That sounds like a great idea!
