Metallic Ratsnake...

My '07 female Metallic Ratsnake (Pantherophis bairdi) shed today, so I was excited to get some pics of her....unfortunately she had other plans and was not in the mood for posing. I was only able to get these 2 pics, and I hope they show her awesome coloration well....this species is IMO, the best looking North American ratsnake hands down, and very underrated.

You are absolutely right on that and there are many morphs that are popping up. Hypos and there is a variety of colors on those as well.

But you really have an amazing looking snake. I am hoping to get some normals later on next year. I want some of the dark metallic ones.

Wow. I like. Thanks, Mr. DavidBeard. That is a beautiful snake.

Looks like Ag or Hg. :D

NOTE : If I may ask, do you have a link to good site, that you like, about their morphs?

I've seen alot of pretty Bairds, but I think yours is one of the best I've seen David. Who is her breeder? And does she by chance have a boyfriend too? I'd love to see what kind of babies she'd throw. :)

I don't know the name of the breeder who produced her...I picked her up at a local show not too long ago. I'm going to try & find a male for her later down the road. I've got some time, as it'll be at least 2 more years before shes big enough to breed.

Yeah wait till that gray starts to darken up..
