My new way of feeding

Buzzard

two corny
I usually feed in seperate container but with my collection growing so fast. I was looking for a new way to feed. So I came up with this.. I am sure others do similar things. Some people use plates, I just use cool whip container that double as hides.

I still get to check each snake out. (Before placing them in the container and then just as a flip it back.) And if it real late I can always come back in the morning. They have easy enough access to leave the container to drink or find a different spot.

Should work fine as far as I can tell. You are still helping them recognize a feeding situation (flipped hide) as well as reducing the risk of impaction since they aren't feeding on the bedding.

I use almost the same thing, for my bigger corns too (but don't have to leave them in there long). Just a word of caution if you should us it for a bigger corn, those fauna boxes don't close very hard after you've opened and shut them several times. A bigger corn can push the lid off. I've had this happen to me recently, but furtunately found her quickly after a frantic search of the room :)
I now put a heavy book on top if I don't stay in the room myself...

My adults are feed still in seperate containers for now. They have tubs with locks on them for that reason you mentioned.

I do that for my slow eaters because I just don't have the patience for them lol. When we feed our snakes I immediately put the mouse in a deli cup for my kingsnake because he just eats soo slow!!!!
