hi, how long will it take for my corn to lay egg after copuation? estimate # of days? i'm still reintroducing my pair every 3 days and i've witness them locked 2x :) thanks in advance :)
 
I believe it is somewhere in the 40 day range. Sorry, I don't have any personal experience, yet. Good luck!
 
hi comoxcorn, how many days after the pre lay shed should i expect an egg? thanks comoxcorn :)
 
I have females here that lay the day they shed and some go as long as 10 days. When averaging my numbers together about 6-7 days.
I put the nest box in usually when the females stop eating which is about 14 days prior. I think it helps with the shed.
Hope that helps you out.
 
Average is 5-7 days, but I had one last year lay the same afternoon when she had shed in the morning

I looked up my records from last year. Here is the time intervals from copulation to egg laying on 5 clutches. 37 days, 33 days, 36 days, 35 days, 36 days.
