Foamy!

Stormy

Keeper of scaley things.
So yes, I got the snake that I went to go see today. Just one quick photo then im letting him settle in since he has been through an ordeal. The owner, and I use the term lightly, that I got him from was an animal hoarder to the point of having so many cages and tanks in his living room there was a single one foot wide pathway to get to them all. Foamy weighs in at 336 grams! Im going to let him settle in for a few days then see if he will eat on Monday.

He told me it was an Amel Stripe. I am not to sure. He does have some buttery colors. the pic is a bit dark but I didnt want to stress Foamy out with to much right off. Right now he is exploring his new home and digging around in the aspen.

That's good getting new additions is fun :D might actually be motley. Usually Amels are more orange than that. It's colors are yellows and golds it looks like.

He has some orange but yeah a lot of yellows mixed in. I will try to get a better picture ina few days once he is settled in.

Nice Amel Motley or Amel Motley/Stripe. I do like messy striped/motley ones. Look forward to seeing him in some good nature lighting to capture his true colors.

Nature lighting will take awhile. It is a whole 37 degrees here and rainy!

Ok, this morning it was relatively nice out so I was able to get some natural lighting photos even though we were inside. So this is Foamy in his temp home for now.
For some reason he likes looking out the window so he was actually sitting somewhat still for once.
Anyone have any ideas on his morph?

Hard to tell... I think you need to send him down here to NC so I can have a closer look. Also, it's warmer here and no lake effect snow. :D

Seriously, he's gorgeous! Thank God you rescued him- lucky snake.

lol girthta! See heres the thing. In two weeks I am moving to Louisiana. So I have all that taken care of!

I think if I had gotten him as a baby he would have been a hateling. Or it could be that it is mating season.

Looking like that he'd be worth it even if he was a hateling...

It almost looks like someone has had a go with a paint gun and some stencils on his back - sooo pretty - I hope he keeps that colouring, its very unusual and pretty

Well he just shed a few days before I got him if I can believe the guy I got him from. I really hope he does keep the patterns. And he is so worth it. He may have the hateling attitude of his box being HIS BOX. But if he wants to come out he will let me handle him with no problems at all.

Thanks! :D He is worth it, it will just take time and patience. I really think he has more than Amel in him but only one way to find out!

Heres an updated photo of Foamy, a little over a year later. I always check on the snakes as soon as I get him and he had decided it was bath time.
