Hi guys

I'm new to the world of corns, actually snakes altogether. I'd always wanted one since i was 10 years old and finally got my wish in November when the wife let me have a 3 month old corn. From looking at other photos i believe she is anery mottled but hopefully when i post some photos someone could give me a little more advice on this. I've called her smokey after around a month of not being able to find the right name. Anyway hello everyone and hopefully i can get as knowledgable as some of you guys and help people like me.

Welcome! I'm a newbie too.. There is so much help around here, I've spent hours upon hours looking up things when I was getting ready for my boys, and the response time is awesomeeee. Enjoy!! :bounce:

Hi, Steve, welcome.
I think you'll find more corn snake info here than just about anywhere. Best place to start reading is the Husbandry and Basic Care section, if you haven't already checked things out.

I like this:

I think that's the best part of this site.

Nice i eventually want to get more but gonna wait till smokey is an adult i think just so ive got some experience behind me. I would eventually like to start breeding corns but thats a while off yet, need much more experience. Would like to find out if there are any breeders in Birmingham so I can go and have a chat with them but i suppose there are plenty of peeps on here that could help. How are yours with handling as i was quite shocked at how quickly Smokey has took to me I can just pick her up now without her darting off

Hi there and Welcome :D we peeps love pics. I got our first two corns in Dec. We are now up to nine with #10 and possibly #11 in the process. They are kinda addicting, so good luck with just trying to keep just one lol The are amazing snakes and I am so happy to have them. Let us know if you have any questions.

Hello and welcome to CS.com. I'm sure you will enjoy your new addiction and will be able to gain all the info and answers you need here. We've been keeping corns since 06, have been members from 07 and still use the site for help and info.

Welcome to cs.com! I started with 1 corn, then found this site last fall to learn to care for Humphrey. Now I have 3 corns, more on the way, and hang out here daily or nearly so!

Well, Voldy took to handling more quickly than Nagini did, but the guy @ the shop who sold him to me admitted that he did not have a lot of handle time for that particular batch of babies. They're both pretty good, I think Nagini might be getting ready to shed though, because he's getting a little touchy and his eyes/skin look dulled. I can't tell yet for sure, I'm going to have to experience a few more sheds lol. But they are both doing well with handling! Voldy doesn't easily go to different people, though. Especially if they talk to him.

I think for the time being I will stick with my two. I'm too impatient to ever breed lol I just want to enjoy them! I could see myself getting more in the future, but I'm content for now =]
