The Pink Man

jlindp

Ophidiophile.
So, my sweet, cotton candy kid shed a few days ago and UGH. His pinks are insane! And I JUST CAN'T CAPTURE IT! The pink on his ventral (first 1/3) is blazing pink, like...neon pink. His ground color is also almost completely salmon pink with only a bit of gray. You can't tell that from the pictures, however. :awcrap: He looks so bright in the sun, but it didn't really come through. Stupid camera and color!

Anyways...! Here a few shots I took when it was warm and sunny. My tree out front is putting on leaves and I think he really enjoyed being a "wild" corn for awhile. He's such a good little photo subject.

Thanks for looking!

You can send him to me! I am pretty good at photographing pink snakes! I think white snakes are hard to photograph! Try getting him in brighter light, especially in the evening, and silhouetting him up against the blue sky. Or buy some red Gerber daisies and use them for a backdrop.

The pink color is beautiful - now, will that fade or get brighter as he gets older?? I'm new to snakes, and have not had one "grow up" with me yet. Listening to everyone here, it seems like the colors really change as the snakes mature.

He looks to be a lovely pink in these pictures. If he is brighter than this in real life, he's a screamer!
