Pairings 9 Through 12

Susan

Go Ahead, Make My Day!
Fiesta and Figaro (anery motley het amel dilute hypo stripe X same) is the first pair that bred this afternoon. I'm hoping for another dilute anery stripe, but a ghost stripe possible het/homo dilute would work as well.

Next is Duchess and Striker (anery het lava bloodred X anery het lava). My '07 or '08(?) ice male, while large enough at 204 grams, just isn't mature enough I guess to get things done. He had been with her for several hours and there wasn't even a little bit of interest on his part, but as soon as I put Striker in there, they were hooked up! Ice is with my normal het ice bloodred now, just in case he prefers "redheads". I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Third is Autumn and Kiyoshi (ghost motley X Sunkissed het hypo). Kiyoshi was paired with a ghost het motley last year, proving him het hypo, so this year, I'm after a few keeper hypos het anery Sunkissed that are guaranteed het motley!

Last is a special pairing...Lady and "Contessa" (dilute anery motley X granite het motley or stripe). "Contessa" was purchased as a female, but when Phillipe, my dilute anery motley male was put with "her" after "her" shed, the action I witnessed wasn't quite right, so for giggles (and since the male for Lady is non-breedable this year due to a prolapsed hemipene), I put "Contessa" with Lady. Lady wasn't ready last week-end, but today, it took only a minute for "Contessa" to prove without a doubt that "she" needs a name change to "Count"!
