My Husband Has Fallen in Love....

With MY snake! :p

And why not? Fiesta is beautiful, healthy and colorful. Who wouldn't fall in love with him? Fiesta (the snake formerly known as Rebecca) has now been here a week and a day. He's eaten, digested and pooped. So today we took him out of the habitat for the first time....

Z has only held a snake one other time in his life, and I do believe he's gone and fallen in love with Fiesta. I barely got to touch him. So, I took pix for 5 minutes and Z played with my snake, then we put Fiesta back in his home to recover from our attentions :).

Here are the resulting photographs. I hope you enjoy them!

LOL - I was wondering how you managed to get so many tongue-shots, too! Fiesta is beautiful - I hope to get an Okeetee someday.

Nice pics! It's way more fun to get a new adult- especially one that loves people. Beautiful snake!!

I agree. The babies seem to be like all baby creatures--rather delicate. They probably have a high infant mortality rate, too. I don't feel confident enough to take on a baby snake, but a full grown one, whose final coloration is set and who has a nice, tolerant personality and whose feeding and shedding habits are known and mostly trouble-free, was the perfect choice for me.

Pretty Okeetee :*)...and babies aren't much more to care for than an adult, plus you get to see how they "color up"...He just needs a mate now ;*)

There are no plans to breed him. I bought him as a pet, and I have absolutely no experience breeding snakes. I wouldn't even know where to start :).

That is a very pretty boy! And I mean the snake. :p

I may have to keep on the look out for an Okeetee if I see anymore pictures of them.

Lol, He looks great, and has gotten so big! This is him as a youngster...

Looks like he's been incredible his whole life! I've seen that first pic, for Jadie.Glitch showed it to me, but I've not seen that second pic, before. Thank you for sharing the photos. I guess I know where to go to find another, should I ever wish to :).

C'mon, admit it, my husband is pretty, too, even when he's shaggy and unshaven. He's from Scotland, ya know. They make 'em pretty over there :). He's also 10 years younger than I am, which means he's gonna be easy on my old eyes for a LONG time! :licklips:
